Keynote Lecture Promises and pitfalls of translational research in addiction

Dr. de Wit is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Chicago.  She was trained in experimental psychology at Concordia University in Montreal Canada, and has studied the behavioral effects of drugs of abuse in human volunteers for over 30 years.

Her studies focus on individual differences in mood-altering and behavioral effects of drugs, as well as contextual factors that affect responses to drugs. Dr. de Wit serves on several editorial boards and she is an Editor for the EBPS journal Psychopharmacology.
